Our Story

Since 2005, On Stage Dance Studio has been under the direction of Meghan Seaman, offering dance instruction of unparalleled quality for children of all ages and — most of all — a positive, supportive and fun environment both inside class and outside of class. That’s the reason we’re Stratford’s largest dance studio: we’ve proven our reputation as the best of both worlds.
Our philosophy to dance education is to nurture an appreciation and love for dance in every child. Everyone can enjoy dancing, moving to music, and expressing themselves though music, and we want to spark that joy inside each & every one of our students. We approach our classes from a child-first perspective, so that we aren’t just raising great dancers, but also great humans.

Our qualified, experienced instructors are committed to lifelong learning and remain up to date by taking class regularly and updating their qualifications. They are just as passionate about teaching as they are about dancing – we truly want your child to succeed & grow! On Stage Dance Studio places equal emphasis on our classic (recreational), intensive (competitive), and exam streams, ensuring your child’s dance education will be exceptional regardless of level or intensity. Every dancer is seen, is heard, and is a valued member of our community!

Our pedigree is equally impressive: our dancers have gone on to work & study with the National Ballet School of Canada, the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, the School of Alberta Ballet, Ballet Jörgen, Quinte Ballet School of Canada, American Ballet Theatre, York University, George Brown College, Ryerson University, and others. Current and former students have competed worldwide as part of Team Canada.

Our main priority at On Stage Dance Studio is to encourage & nurture an appreciation & love for dance in every child. Yes, we produce great talented dancers – but never at the expense of their joy or self-confidence. Our priority is to help kids become their best selves possible & to express joy through movement. At On Stage our kids are always smiling and loving who they are – just the way we like it!
