Mentorship Program

At On Stage, we encourage leadership, independence, and responsibility. The students who participate in our Mentorship Program display these qualities & more! These students apply for the program, and once accepted, assist with dance classes, help out at performances, and act as positive role models our younger dancers.

Julia M

Julia is 15 years old and has been a dancer at On Stage for 12 years. This is her 10th year on the IDP team. Julia takes part in jazz, ballet, contemporary and acro, but her favourite style is contemporary. She is so excited to start her second year in the mentorship program. She can’t wait to continue working with kids of all ages and sharing her love for dance with them. Julia hopes to use the skills she learns in the mentorship program to one day work with kids when she is older!

Hannah B

Hannah is 15 and a part of the mentorship program at On Stage. She has been dancing since the age of 3 and is entering her 11th year of competitive dance this season. She does ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary and pointe. Hannah has been mentoring for 2 years and she can’t wait for another amazing year!

Alyvea H

Alyvea is 17 years old and has been dancing since she was 3. Alyvea takes part in acro, tap, ballet, pointe, contemporary, modern, jazz but her favorites are Tap and Acro. This will be her 3rd year at On Stage and in the mentorship program. Alyvea wants to be in this program because she loves to teach and inspire younger dancers. She wants to make sure all dancers are having fun in class and love to come to dance.

Leah A-S

This is Leah. She has been dancing for 22 years and this is her second year of mentoring, but she also has assisted in the summer camps for 8 years before. Leah is 26 years old and is a college graduate. Leah’s favourite types of dance are hip hop and musical theatre. Leah started mentoring because when she gets older she want to inspire and teach diverse ability kids and teach them to love to dance. Leah is very happy and excited to watch the younger generation of kids to grow!

Norah K

Norah is 16 years old and has been a dancer at On Stage for 14 years. This is her 10th year on the IDP team. Norah takes part in jazz, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, modern pointe and acro, but her favourite style is contemporary. She is very excited to start her 4th year in the mentorship program. She can’t wait to meet everyone and share her love for dance with them. Norah hopes to use the skills she learns in the mentorship program to one day become a teacher!!

Leah M

This is Leah M. She has been dancing for 12 years. Leah’s favourite style of dance is tap. This is her second year in the mentorship program. Leah is super excited to be working with you all this year and see you all grow into amazing dancers!

Ionna Z

This is Ioanna Z, she has been dancing for 8 years. Her favourite style of dance is jazz. This is her second year in the mentorship program. Ioanna loves to work with kids and can’t wait to watch all the children learn and grow this dance season.

Brooklyn Vandenberk

Brooklyn is 16 years old and has been a dancer at On Stage for 14 years. This is her 10th year on the IDP team. Brooklyn takes part in jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, modern, pointe and acro, but her favourite style is jazz. She is so excited to start her continue in the mentorship program. She can’t wait to continue creating bonds with all the little kids and share her love for dance with them. Brooklyn hopes to use the skills she learns in the mentorship program to one day become a dance teacher!

Skyler Mossey

This is Skyler. She has been dancing for 13 years at On Stage. She is about to go into her third year on the mentorship program and is super excited to continue. Her favourite style of dance is contemporary. When she is older she wants to work with younger kids. She is very happy to meet all the dancers this year :)!
