After graduating from the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School and attending the Alberta Ballet School and the Banff Centre for Performing Arts, Katherine went on to pursue her classical ballet career with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet Company. She has also been a member of ProArte Danza under the direction of Roberto Campanella, Cadence Contemporary Ballet Company and can be seen in the Paramount film Save the Last Dance II. Katherine is a graduate of Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and is also an Advanced teacher and examiner for the Society of Russian Ballet in Canada, examining and teaching all across Canada. Miss Katherine has taught at studios across Canada and has grown On Stage’s ballet program into one that is well-respected across Ontario. Beyond her dance abilities, Miss Katherine is also a certified yoga instructor and enjoys bringing this knowledge into the classroom. Her greatest pleasure, however, lies with dance and with children to nurturing their development through ballet. Katherine’s students have gone on to dance with ballet companies and schools around the globe. She has won numerous choreography awards for her creative and innovative ballet routines and has brought students to International Ballet competitions across North America. She recently completed The Bolshoi Ballet Academy Teacher training program in New York city and is one of the few teachers in Canada to have completed this prestigious program.
