Classes
Check out our class offerings below and find the class that’s right for you. Then, get in touch with us! Our registration for this year’s dance season is now closed, but we’ll gladly add you to our mailing list so that you get first pick of classes when registration reopens in May 2012.
If you don’t see a class that matches the age and dance experience of your child, or you’re unsure about the best class for your child’s age and dance experience, we can help. Please contact the studio and we’ll make sure you’re child the best class to suit their age and ability. We really do have a class for everyone!

Twirling Tots
This is a four-month program for our youngest dancers, emphasizing gross motor skills, peer interaction, and fun! All participants must be 2 years old by program start date and feel comfortable away from Mom or Dad for the duration of the class. Sessions run September to December and January to April. This class will not participate in any performances.

Dancin' Kids
Our Dancin’ Kids program allows children aged 3 and up to experience dance, movement, and music in an appealing class format. Students will enhance their gross motor skills, improve their sense of rhythm and co-ordination, and be introduced to dance in a positive fashion. This class provides development of body awareness and function, and provides an excellent base for further dance skill development. Best of all, it’s lots of fun! All participants must be 3 years old by September 1st.

Primary Program
Our primary program for ages 4 - 7 builds on skills learned in our early years program and aims to introduce the basics of dance technique. These classes encourage creative expression through the use of props, games, and music. Combination classes include both jazz and tap; ballet classes are ballet only.

Boys Dance!
A special class just for our boys! Taught by a male instructor, this is a great way for the boys to let loose, dance up a storm, and feel comfortable in their classes. This class includes jazz, hip hop, and tap dancing - but don't worry, we'll lend you tap shoes for the year. Let's show the world that boys can dance too! Please note: boys are welcome in ALL classes at On Stage Dance Studio.

Jazz Dance Program
Jazz dance develops co-ordination, flexibility and strength. This is an entertaining class using popular music. Emphasis is on proper technique with a flair for performance and style.

Tap Dance Program
Tap dance is a rhythmic dance style focusing on co-ordination, rhythm, and musicality. Tap classes give your child the ability to make music with their feet! !

Ballet Dance Program
All of our ballet classes follow the Society of Russian Ballet (SRB) Vaganova syllabus and are taught by an SRB certified instructor. Recreational classes are offered for those students wishing to enjoy dance with a minimum time commitment. Exam classes are designed to challenge dancers to reach their full potential through yearly examinations. A ballet instructor must first assess students wishing to participate in the exam stream. Hip Hop Program
Our hip hop classes combine funky movement and popular music for lots of fun! Learn the moves from your favourite music videos and groove to your own beat. These fast-paced classes are rhythmic and high energy. Come out and join us for fitness, friendship, and fun!

Musical Theatre
A fun class that’s perfect for anyone who enjoys the Stratford Festival! Basic jazz technique combines with singing to create a dance class with a flair for the dramatic. Singers and dancers are welcome, though instruction focuses on dancing.

Contemporary
Learn to express emotion & tell a story through dance! Contemporary class combines jazz & modern technique as a language to express meaning beyond the movement. Dancers enrolled in our contemporary classes *are required* to also enroll in a jazz &/or ballet class.

Stretch & Strengthen
To be a great dancer, one must be strong, fit, and flexible! Our Stretch & Strengthen class will lead students through workouts designed to increase cardio fitness, improve strength through bodyweight strength training, and expand flexibility. Great for non-dancers who want to get into shape too! This class does not take part in any recitals or performances.

Adult Classes
Back by popular demand!! Our adult classes combine jazz & hip hop to give you a great workout while having lots of fun. Sessions run Oct – Dec. and Jan – March. Stay tuned for more info on an adult ballet class to come too!
