Julia began dancing at the age of 5, starting with just tap. At 13, she decided to branch out with lessons in other dance disciplines; she joined the competitive team the next year, and has fallen more and more in love with dance each year since! Julia has been a member of the On Stage family since it’s beginning. She first began working for On Stage as an assistant teacher at 14, which translated into a substitute teacher, a birthday party instructor, and then an official instructor in 2012. Julia’s transition from an On Stage dancer to an On Stage instructor has been a fantastic experience so far- being able to work alongside the teachers who inspired her and taught her so much, combined with being able to work with all of the amazing students at On Stage, has made the transition easy! Julia is currently in her first year of Teachers College at the University of Western Ontario. She is so grateful for the opportunity to work at On Stage where she can amalgamate her two passions, dance and teaching. Julia loves to stretch her boundaries in dance, to work hard, and most of all to have fun – and that is what she wishes for her students! She is so excited for another year of sharing the abundance of joy that dance has brought into her life with all of her students at On Stage! Email Julia.
