  • ”As a mom, I've always been so proud to tell fellow Stratfordites what an incredible studio you run for our girls. Right from twirling tots, you have always pushed my girls both physically and "socially" to be the best they can be… your team of instructors follows "the boss' lead" and does the same with all their dancers! What you're teaching our kids by modelling this is a virtue that will last a lifetime.”

  • “Today, my daughter doesn't just walk anywhere - she dances. And she doesn't just stand, she Y-stands! Dancing isn't just something "she does" - it has become a very important part of who she is. That's because of you.”

On Stage Dance Studio Dancer

Dance offers so much to children: artistic expression, physical conditioning, self-confidence, teamwork, discipline, self-respect and best of all, the sheer exhilaration of moving beautifully to music.

When I was six years old, I dreamed that one day I’d teach dance in my own studio. Since 2005 I’ve been privileged to live my dream and share my love of dance with the now more than 450 children who every year dance for fun and competition at On Stage Dance.

— Meghan Seaman, Owner/Instructor

In their daily lives, our children spend many hours passively in front of TV, computer and iPod screens. At On Stage, kids spend their class time learning to listen actively, to share space, to support their peers, and to see what real progress feels like – those big wall mirrors are there for a reason!

It’s a subtle kind of freedom for a young person to experience: our dancers learn how to be more themselves while being part of a bigger project.

And then there’s just the joy of being part of On Stage. Yes, we believe in dancing to the very best of your ability (and we work hard to help every child live up to their dance potential) but we believe that laughter is where we all live most—and there’s lots of that here at On Stage, because we’re having so much fun together.

Come Dance With Us

Safety First: Our dance facility is designed to take the very best care of young dancers' bodies—our sprung floors and wide open dance spaces give everyone room to move.

We’re right downtown at 172 Ontario Street, just east of Tim Horton’s, an easy drop-off location, not least because we have a great big waiting room for parents to catch a breather if you’d prefer to wait while your child dances.

We’re careful with our students’ health: we’re peanut free and all of our instructors are St John’s Ambulance adult and child CPR certified. And everyone working at On Stage has been vetted by police.
